The Spark: Helen & Danielle Bring the Class Home
Two decades after walking across the graduation stage, the paths of the Class of 2006 crossed once again this June. This massive undertaking began with a single realization by alumni Helen and Danielle, who decided it was high time for their former classmates to reconnect. Serving as the primary catalyst and driving force behind the reunion, Helen and Danielle alongside a few close friends, energized nearly 60 alumni from all corners of the globe. Together, they inspired their peers to pack their bags and plan an unforgettable weekend for their families back in Warsaw.
Returning to Campus: A Beautiful Blend of Old and New
On Friday, June 12th, ASW proudly threw open its doors to welcome its beloved Class of 2006 back to campus. For many, stepping back onto school grounds was a surreal experience. While the campus has transformed dramatically over the last twenty years, certain nostalgic touchstones—like the familiar old lockers—remained exactly the same, instantly bridging the gap between past and present.
The ambiance on campus was nothing short of electric. The afternoon was filled with laughter, shared memories, and immediate recognition. Despite the two-decade hiatus, old friends easily recognized one another, proving that the bonds formed at ASW truly withstand the test of time.
"It all felt great. Like coming home."
A Walk Down Memory Lane
The reunion was a deeply personal affair, highlighted by a collection of wonderful memoirs and keepsakes from their time together at school. The Class of 2006 also reached out to several of their former educators who couldn't attend in person; these beloved teachers sent in video-recorded messages, bringing a wave of warmth and emotion to the gathering.
The celebration also brought out a fantastic crowd of faculty. Several former teachers made the trip back, and longtime staff members who taught the class years ago simply could not stay away—they happily joined the celebration to toast their former students.
Following a nostalgic tour of the updated school facilities, the alumni didn't just look back at legacy—they actively participated in it. The class proudly joined current students in ASW's annual "Relay for Life" charitable walkathon, a foundational school tradition dedicated to supporting oncology research and treatment.
Until We Meet Again
The daytime nostalgia seamlessly transitioned into a spectacular evening celebration in town. The energy, smiles, and deep sense of community reminded everyone that once you are a part of the Warrior family, you always have a place to return to.
It was an incredible weekend that our alumni will warmly cherish—until their paths cross again. As the saying goes, "Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior." See you soon, Class of 2006!
